What should you do if you must hit an obstacle you can't avoid in the road?
In situations where an obstruction on the road cannot be avoided, attempt to approach the obstacle at nearly a right angle, roughly 90 degrees. Reduce your speed as much as possible before you make contact while keeping your motorcycle vertical. Slightly stand up from your seat and gently roll the throttle to lift the front wheel slightly, helping to cushion the impact and increase control over the obstacle.
