When parking on a downhill slope, whether there is a curb or not, or parking uphill on a road without a curb, you should always turn your wheels towards the road's edge. This will cause your vehicle to move away from traffic rather than into it should the brakes fail. Alternatively, if parking uphill with a curb, turn your wheels toward the roadway to ensure if the car rolls, it moves into the curb, keeping it stationary.
